Public Beaches

Lakeside Park (“Rangeley Town Cove Park” on Google Maps) on the shore of Rangeley Lake is an ideal family swimming spot within steps of downtown Rangeley. Free and open to the public. Kids love the sand beach, swim dock, and playground. There are also picnic tables, a bath house, and tennis and basketball courts. Cool off with an ice cream cone on Main Street, just one block away

Rangeley Lake State Park on the southern shore of Rangeley Lake has sweeping views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There’s a swim area, playground, picnic area and bath house. The park charges a nominal day-use fee.



Rangeley doesn’t have a public pool. It has something even better – clear mountain streams that tumble over cliffs and around boulders to create natural swimming pools.
